Hello and welcome to Deb O'Day Photography!
My name is Deb Weil-O'Day and I am the a freelance photographer, mother, dog lover, birdwatcher and native New Englander.
I learned photography from my father who loved to climb mountains, travel and bring back memorable photos of his wonderful adventures. We lost Dad in 2020 to COVID so this site is dedicated to him.
As an adult I picked up the camera again at the vintage racing events where my husband Mark is an active participant. The pros at the track were generous with both their knowledge and friendship. I was lucky to learn from the best. Thank you, Ed, Michael and Sean, for your time and your good company!
Around the same time I also started shooting the Duxbury Summer Series which grew to include shooting other races in and around New England including the 12M Worlds in Newport and the Hereshoff 12 Nationals in Edgartown. I love everything about being on the water - the sights smells and sounds of the ocean.
My personal passion is shooting animals and wildlife. The Wildlife series is from the local seacoast, waterways and ponds near our home in Southern New Hampshire. I've been known to lose all track of time when I'm camped out in the woods waiting for exciting things to happen.
I also love hiking the woods and exploring trails all around the world. I may add some travel photos in the future (stay tuned).
I am available for Portraits, Corporate Profiles and Events. This started with friends and has grown to include families who return every year for their holiday cards.
It's important to give back to our community so I offered free photo shoots for clinicians and their families who were on the front lines of the COVID pandemic. If you have a non-profit that needs some photography, please don't hesitate to get in touch. My schedule is hectic (I work fulltime to support my photo habit) and am also busy with family.
